Client layout
From Plex-XML
User individual HTML client layout
Plex-XML maintains a rich variety of setting which will influence the look an feel of the client immediately at runtime without further programming effort. This results in a dynamic HTML web client that can be set up for each user individually in respect of
- Language
- Locale (formatting of dates and figures)
- Number of records shown per HTML page (for multi-record overviews)
- Number of records shown per PDF export (for multi-record overviews)
- Colors
- Font size
- Menu shortcuts
- Startup program
For much more detailed information on this topic please jump over to the page User individual settings.
Formats
In the context of a so called "Format" Plex-XML maintains further settings like
- Field visibilities
- Field arrangements
- Record selections
- Record sort order
Multiple of these "Formats" can exist for each function giving different screen layouts. These "Formats" then can be assigned to a group of users. If available and permitted by security settings, a user can switch between different available "Formats" at runtime or create a new format on the fly.
In the default format "by name" the employees are ordered by name in the grid.
By clicking on the other format name "by status" near the upper right corner of the screen the employee data grid will become another appearance and the data is ordered by status.
