From Plex-XML
On this page we are going to describe some features an user might find useful while using your application with a Plex-XML client.

Text area features
If a text area style is used to enter multi-line text a counter will show you how many characters you already have typed and how many characters are left for typing.
Date field features
On each date field some keyboard and mouse features are available:
- type 't' into the date field to get the current date
- type '+' into the date field to add one day to the date that is shown
- type '-' into the date field to subtract one day from the date that is shown
- click on the icon beside the date field to get a calendar
Colors
- Colors used
- Fields with a light gray background are 'read only'. You can not enter data there.
- Fields with a light red background and a bold label are mandatory fields
- If one field has a light green background this is the field where the current focus (cursor) is
- If a grid label is in red color then the grid is ordered by this column and the order can be conversed by clicking on this label.
- The colors used do not suit your taste or corporate identity? Be sure they can be turned off or changed!
Extended grid search
Each field in a grid can be set up to receive a search field on top of its row. If you need more than one search field or would like to change the search operator on the fly you can press F2 while the cursor is within the search field. You will get a dialog where you can select a search operator and more values like

- not equal
- greater
- greater or equal
- less
- less or equal
- in
- not in
- less
- less or equal
- starts with
- not starts with
- between
- not between
