What's next in 2011
From Plex-XML
- ...scheduled for 2011
- Upgrade from Ext 3.3 to Ext 4.0 soon after it is no longer beta.
- UPDATE 12.08.2011: Sencha Blog says: "...Ext JS 4.0 introduced a huge number of new features, but also turned out to have some performance and documentation holes and we hope that Ext JS 4.1 solves as many issues and concerns that you’ve had..." so we are going to wait for 4.1
- UPDATE 31.10.2011: Looks like results are worth waiting and we could upgrade by the end of the year: http://www.sencha.com/blog/ext-js-4-1-developer-preview/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+extblog+%28Ext+JS+Blog%29&utm_content=Bloglines#date:21:00
- Mobile-Web-Templates (optimized templates to use your existing Plex-XML-Application on Android, iPhone, iPad... without modifications)
- Sencha Touch after Ext 4.0
- Zepto.js (?) as alternative implementation for Ext
- HTML5 support
- Formate 3.0 with HTML5 support
- Plex-XML internal runtime update from DOM to streaming to gain more performance for batch jobs and large im-/exports.
